Musical Help

One of our members, Helen Roulston, who works at the Department of Music at Murray State University, KY, has requested help in tracking down some of the Morse music. If anybody is an expert on such matters I am sure Helen would be most grateful. There are too many pieces to mention here but the stories on which information is requested are JERI, SILE, SERV, WOLV, LSEE, SETT and LENE. I have a full list upon request which I will willingly send to any member. The pieces tend to be some of the obscure incidental inserts to which Morse listened while driving etc.

And Finally ...

Once again let me thank members for all their support. Those of you who have sent in contributions for the newsletter, given time and financial help I would like to thank especially warmly. The Society is funded from the sales of merchandise and donations, so if you are receiving this newsletter and have not yet made a contribution please consider doing so since our databases will be updated soon with non-contributors removed. If you are one of those who has sent a financial donation thank you very much and please send no further donations at present as the society is quite solvent. Don’t forget we always welcome articles for the newsletter and your comments regarding possible meetings etc. Also don’t forget to consider our new merchandising items of the tea towel and Jaguar!

Finally, another very warm welcome to Colin Dexter as our first, and only, honorary member.

Best wishes,

Antony Richards
