Colin Dexter On Stage

On Thursday 9th July 1998 Colin Dexter took to the stage at The Oxford Playhouse in a production titled ‘An Evening with Colin Dexter and Shelia Hancock’. It was advertised as a gentle summer evening combining drama, humour and poignancy in the company of Colin Dexter, Oxford’s creator of Inspector Morse. Readings from Dexter’s popular crime novels by the distinguished actress Shelia Hancock were interspersed with a choice of their favourite poetry and prose.

This was a benefit evening in aid of Cancer and Leukemia in Childhood and The Oxford Playhouse.
