Editorial

Welcome to the first ‘Endeavour’ of the new millennium! Although the great man himself has passed on rest assured that we will be working as hard as ever to keep the Society events up to their usual high standards and indeed, produce many more editions of the Inspector Morse Society newsletter.

It has been an extremely busy few months for the Society with the highly successful ‘Remorseful Weekend’ and the ‘Remorseful Wake’ held at the Randolph Hotel in Oxford. We have received feedback from both events and are delighted by people’s enjoyment. Thanks, as ever, got to everybody who worked so hard to produce two magnificent events.

You may notice a new style to this edition and, indeed, editions in the future as Antony has finally unburdened editorial responsibilities to the younger generation of Morse fans! (Hooray! - Assistant Editor) I would like to thank Antony on behalf of all of us for producing ‘Endeavour’ to such a high standard, whilst juggling his other (innumerable) activities over the years.

Please continue to send your articles (to Antony for the present) and anything you think might make an interesting story, your input is what makes the magazine and it is greatly appreciated.

Finally I would be delighted to hear any feedback on this, my first outing as editor, so that I can continue to deliver a high standard of newsletter and include as many members of the Society in its production as is possible.

Thank you for your continuing support of the Inspector Morse Society. I hope to meet as many members as possible at our annual gathering over the weekend of 14th.-16th. September 2001.
