The Home Coming (2002)
It is a day for celebration as William Oakington today returns to Oakington Hall after serving a term at Dartmoor Prison for robbery. The dinner in his honour is ruined when textiles entrepreneur Oscar Oakington, the head of the family, loses his temper over what appears to be a trivial matter. Later a stabbed body is found but who did commit the murder and why? All the suspects seem to have both a good alibi, and a good motive for an evil deed. Even Doctor Watson comes under the suspicion of murder in this family based whodunit that will test Sherlock Holmes to the limit.

Boxwell, Edith: House keeper to Oscar Oakington. A village gossip. What did she know that might be a motive for murder? Evry, Marie: French mistress of Oscar Oakington. Has ambitious plans for his wealth when she moves into Oakington Hall. Oakington, Julia: Ex-wife of Oscar now living apart. No police record but has a motive for wanting to see harm come to Oscar and his new lover. Oakington, Oscar: Owner of Oakington Hall and head of the family. It seems that nobody likes this ruthless business man with a vile temper Oakington, Rebecca: Daughter of Oscar who lives with him at Oakington Hall. A wild ‘Tom-Boy’ character about to be married. Why has she been so depressed recently? Oakington, Sebastian: The younger brother, and boring business partner, of Oscar. Has he found out something about the company which gives him a motive for murder? Oakington, William: Son of Oscar. Just released from Dartmoor Prison for robbery. Was he innocent? Has he revenge in mind? Stukely, Peter: Lover of Rebecca Oakington but seen as being unsuitable for her since he is only the village mechanic and without status or money Watson, Doctor: In need of money due to his gambling habit and was recently dismissed by Oscar Oakington and accused of professional incompetence | ||||
