The Complete Casebook Of Herlock Sholmes

Charles Hamilton

Charles Hamilton wrote school stories under many pen-names. The best known of these was Frank Richards, the non-de-plume he used when creating the long running series of stories concerning the boys of Greyfriars School and in particular Billy Bunter "the fat owl of the remove."

No doubt enjoying the change of style, Richards created "Herlock Sholmes"a parody of Conan Doyle's famous detective who appeared in almost a hundred short stories within hte pages of various boys magazines from 1915 to 1923.

This volumne attempts to collect together for the first time all of these humorous little tales regardless of whether they were written by Richards or not, (a small percentage of the stories were written by other hands) so that another handy volume exists on the bookshelves for the amusmentof collectors of old boys books, collectors of Holmesiana and the discerning reader who simply appreciate some well written vintage humour
