As his publisher it is with great sadness that we bring the news of the death of one of our writers, Val Andrews, who suffered a heart attack on 12th October 2006.

Val Andrews had been writing Sherlock Holmes murder mystery books for many years, and had more than thirty titles to his credit. Val was at his best when writing about the world of entertainment, in which he worked as a writer and performer for fifty years. From a theatrical background, he had been in his time a professional vaudeville artiste, magician and script writer to Tommy Cooper, Benny Hill and other comedy stars of stage and television. He could even count among his friends the likes of Orson Welles.

He will be missed, but at least his name will live on through his books which continue to thrill old and new murder
